CHURCH'S EQUIPMENT

Church's Equipment is Closing Our Doors

After 73 years in business, Church's Farm Supplies [CFS] has retired and closed its doors. Founded in 1948 by Charles Wesley Church, CFS has been a pillar in the Simcoe County Community, supporting the Agricultural, Construction, and Landscaping Industries for decades. On July 15th, 2021, the doors closed for the very last time.

The family owned and operated business began its journey on Burton Avenue in Barrie. Charles Wesley Church had a vision at the young age of 21 with the maturity and drive which allowed him to make his business dreams a reality. He cultivated goals which saw the creation and foundation of a business backed by the same principles it possesses today, for nearly three-quarters of a century.

In 1977, following the untimely death of his father, John Church stepped in, to support his family and lead the business at the age of 22. John was determined to continue the family legacy which drove him to succeed against all odds. After almost 20 years, the building on Burton Avenue was successfully outgrown and John's vision led him to Innisfil.

In 1997, John and his family had purchased land, designed a new building and moved the business to its current location. The business thrived under John's leadership along with the collaboration of his family. Church's Farm Supplies successfully grew from CaseIH to carry multiple OEM's such as Kubota, JCB, McCormick alongside many others. John's passion was undeniable. All would agree.

After a brief battle with cancer, John Church passed away in August of 2017. At that time Carole, Hugh and Wayne Church continued to build upon the foundations and honour the traditions in which the business was built upon. It is with heavy hearts that the decision has been made to officially announce the retirement of the Church Family and the closure of Church's Farm Supplies Ltd.

Family has been the very core of the business. Our employees are family. Our customers are family.

We are very thankful to have been fortunate enough to have worked with some of the best customers, alongside a very talented team of caring and knowledgeable staff, business colleagues, and associations. The continuous support and loyalty that has been shown by our 'extended family' will never be forgotten by the Church Family.

The memories created will last forever! Once again, we would like to thank everyone for their trust and loyalty and wish everyone the very best!

Carole, Hugh and Wayne Church.
